Your child has been referred for an autism assessment by West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, and their referral has now been passed securely to us – HG Mind Works – to carry out. You should have had a letter from the Trust letting you know this was happening. You’re in the right place.
We’re an independent healthcare provider, registered with the Care Quality Commission, working on behalf of the Trust to help families be seen sooner. Your child’s care stays within the NHS – we simply carry out the assessment on the Trust’s behalf, to the same standards. There’s no cost to you at any stage.
There’s no rush, and no order you need to follow. Many families feel anxious at this point – that’s completely normal. Read whatever’s useful to you today, and come back to the rest whenever you’re ready.
